Harbour & Hale began with one person taking calls from friends of friends who wanted someone straight with them about trading. It is still small enough that every client is known by name.
We are an introducing broker: we guide, we explain, and we introduce clients to one partner broker. We do not give investment advice and we do not manage anyone's money.

I started Harbour & Hale because the people I knew who traded were either left alone with an app or sold to by a stranger. Neither is how you would want to be looked after. Most of my week is still spent on the phone with clients.

I look after clients from the first call onwards. If you ring and ask for me, you get me. I would rather spend ten minutes explaining a margin call before it happens than an hour apologising after.

A harbour is somewhere you come back to. Hale is the family name of the person who started the practice and still takes first calls.
We keep the practice small so that both halves stay true: a steady place to return to, and a person on the other end of the line.
